Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 July 2026
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you visit ostrega.be or contact me, why, and what your rights are.
1. Data controller
PIERRE OSTREGA SRL (trading as OSTREGA)
- Avenue de la Vecquée 40, 5000 Namur, Belgium
- CBE / VAT: 0769.289.875
- Contact: hello@ostrega.be
2. Cookies
Browsing the site sets no cookies and uses no advertising tracker, cross-site tracking or profiling. Audience measurement (see 3.a) works without cookies.
The only exception: when you click "Book a call", the Cal.com scheduling module loads and may set cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function. Exempt from consent because they are essential to a service you expressly request, these cookies are set only at that precise moment — never during ordinary browsing. No consent banner is therefore required.
3. Data processed
a) Audience and performance measurement (cookieless)
I use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand site traffic and loading performance. These tools work without cookies and cannot identify you: the data is aggregated.
- Data: pages viewed, referring page, device type, browser, operating system, country, performance metrics.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR) — measuring and improving the site.
- Retention: aggregated data, 12 months maximum.
b) Host technical logs
The host processes technical logs (including the IP address) needed for the site to operate, for its security and to prevent abuse.
- Legal basis: legitimate interest — security and proper functioning of the service.
- Retention: short duration, defined by the host.
c) Getting in touch
If you write to me (email, WhatsApp) or book a call, I process the information you send me: name, email address, contact details, the content of your message and details about your project.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR) and legitimate interest for managing the relationship.
- Retention: for the duration of our exchanges, then 3 years from the last contact. Where a contract is concluded, accounting records are kept for 10 years in accordance with Belgian legal obligations.
d) Booking a call (Cal.com)
When you click "Book a call", a calendar provided by Cal.com opens so you can choose a slot. The information you enter there (name, email address, chosen slot and, where applicable, a message) is processed in order to arrange the appointment.
- Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Retention: same durations as in point c).
4. Recipients and processors
Your data is neither sold, rented nor transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It may be processed by the following providers, acting as processors:
- Vercel Inc. (United States) — site hosting, audience and performance measurement.
- Infomaniak Network SA (Switzerland) — email hosting.
- Cal.com, Inc.(United States) — scheduling module, loaded only when you click "Book a call".
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Site hosting (Vercel Inc.) and the booking module (Cal.com, Inc.) are located in the United States. These transfers are governed by the appropriate safeguards provided for by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses and/or adherence to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework). Switzerland, where email is hosted, benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
6. Your rights
In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict the processing of, object to and receive a portable copy of your data.
To exercise them, write to hello@ostrega.be. You will receive a reply within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority:
- Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA) — Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels
- contact@apd-gba.be — autoriteprotectiondonnees.be
7. Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS encryption). Appropriate technical and organisational measures are implemented to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure.
8. Changes
